There was a lecture on how to score Sejarah papers in SPM after recess today.
Some experienced teacher from RMC was gonna give a talk, so after eating I pulled a few of my friends to clear the whole place up.
The venue was our inner hall, which consisted of 3 combined classes that were separated by metal sliding doors pulled from the top.
You know, like how kedai runcits lock their front gate?
That kinda sliding door.
There were a bunch of 6 Indian boys I knew who was sent by the teacher to help as well, and despite their ignorance, immature playfulness, savageness, and ego, I managed to get the whole place cleared up and arranged for the lecture to take place.
The classes were like how you'd expect it to be, with tables paired in two and a chair behind each desk, so we arranged the tables at the back of the three classes and aligned the chairs into rows facing the front.
It took us a good 20 minutes or so, and we were all sweating when it was done.
I even had to stack up the chairs from another class and bring them here, while tolerating and cleaning up after the Indian boys.
I swear, they did more damage than help.
But they did help, so I appreciated it and smiled with patience.
(While repeating over and over again to stop throwing chairs)
It was all done, and we then called the form fivers down to take a seat.
The lecture was very good, and it sure help me a lot.
Da da da da da.
Around 12.50pm, the lecture was over.
Our teacher, Pn.Rahayu, used the mic to ask the prefects to clear everything up and put things back to the way they were.
So there was me, YCK, Darrell and Kum Wah I think.
Oh, and the 6 Indian boys.
While cleaning up, I noticed the Indian boys were playing around violently, thus slowing down our progress so I went to look for Pn.Rahayu and asked if she could get them to return to their classes.
She refused to, saying they would make even more noise in class and what not.
So I had to accept it, and went on finishing our duty.
I was sweating and panting when we were almost done.
The tables and chairs were all rearranged to their correct positions, and only the last sliding door was required to be fixed.
Only me and the Indian boys were left there, and I instructed them as they climbed up a table and pulled it down, glad that our work was going to end.
Then came the problem.
They pulled all three segments down and locked it. But after they walked two steps away, one of them wasn't locked properly, and slided sideways.
We immediately tried to help - including me, mind you - but there were lots of problems that came.
Finally, one of the segments was all pulled down coz there was something wrong with the spring.
I told the boys to wait, and I went to look for a guy teacher of ours, En.Kamal.
He, on the other hand, took a look at it and didn't know what to do so he sent me to find our vice principal, Pn.Teoh in her office.
Pn.Teoh wasn't very happy when this happened, and she asked to see Pn.Rahayu, so again I went to get Pn.Rahayu and brought her to the office.
After I explained everything to them once more, telling them that the Indian boys didn't lock it properly and what not, Pn.Rahayu said something that really stung me in the heart.
I could still remember her exact words.
In an angry tone, she said
"Satu lagi, Pn.Teoh. Saya suruh pengawas-pengawas ni yang handle, tapi mereka ni selalu tak buat apa-apa pun. Selalu suruh pelajar-pelajar India yang buat kerja, lepas tu mereka berdiri kat tepi jaga status je. Selalunya cuma Thivager je yang buat kerja."
.....
EXCUSE ME???
I WAS BLOODY DOING EVERYTHING FOR HER, AND SHE COULD COMPLAIN TO MY VICE PRINCIPLE THAT I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING???
AND HELLO???
THIVAGER WASN'T EVEN THERE WHEN WE DID EVERYTHING!!!
PN.RAHAYU, ARE YOU FREAKING BLIND
?????
I didn't care about anything anymore.
I grabbed my bag and walked straight out of the school, deliberately turning a sharp left to a different lane when I saw Pn.Rahayu walking towards me.
Dammit, man.
If that's how you treat someone who goes through all that trouble to help you, and if that's how you give credit to someone who doesn't do anything at all?
I don't want anything to do with this school anymore.
Period.
Right now, I'm still hurt from what happened.
And believe me, I'm never going to help in anything in my school ever again.
If you see this, teacher.
I dare you to confront me.
I dare you.
Who Else?
Adam
P.S - I really need you, Liz.
